How to Play the Admissions Game with Twitter

Social media savvy may get you a lot farther than just to the next hot party. Students with the smarts and savoir faire to navigate social networks can dramatically improve their college admissions standings. That’s what Klaudia Jazwinska, AKA @jazberry, did when she sent out the following tweet:

I need @LafCol to convince me why I shouldn’t go to @LehighU and vice versa.

What ensued was an exchange that ensured Klaudia a much smoother and successful transition to the school of her choice:

Clearly, @jazberry wasn’t going to get lost in the crowd of new students! You can find out even more about Klaudia’s adept arrival to college from Lauren Weaver of Lehigh University. But the moral of this story is not that all teens should take to Twitter or any other social network. Instead, realize that deft social skills can be as powerful an asset in college admissions as superior grades or extracurriculars. Use your voice to make your way to college.

Because of the tutoring Chariot Learning provided and the positive outcome, my son was accepted into colleges that he may not have been with his SAT scores prior to their services.
