Many students and parents spend months or years working on the essay, while others spend a week or less furiously drafting, redrafting, and polishing what should be a major component of the college application.

You can make your college essay an excellent ambassador of your suitability to study at a school that is right for you. You can write accurately and authentically about who you really are in a way that engages and impresses the overworked folks in admissions. And you can accomplish this daunting task with a minimum of stress or struggle. You just need a plan.
